Here is a great “high level” timeline of Church history, starting at 33 AD and proceeding all the way up to 2017. Interesting all of the things we (the Church, the Body of Christ on Earth) have gone through to get to this point.
The presentation is not meant to be apologetic, so there isn’t a lot of detail on specific events. (For example, not mentioned are that the atrocities committed in Jerusalem were committed by a rogue crusader army against orders and policy, and that the guilty parties were all excommunicated.)
The video’s creator has listed his sources and some updated information, and I have placed it at the bottom of the page.
There are four videos. The original is a little over two hours long, so it has been broken down into three segments. The first segment is at the top of the list, followed by segments two and three. The fourth video is the original longer version.
We are all members of the Body of Christ and, as such, we must take up our cross daily (MK 9:23) and join our sufferings to His (Col 1:24)
It also shows that Jesus meant what he said:
MT 16: 17-18 Jesus said to him in reply, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father.
And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.
MT 28:19-20 Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”
Any other organization would have been gone long ago…

Corrections: 1. Our Lady of Guadalupe is the only Marian apparition in the Americas to have been approved by the Holy See. Other Marian apparitions in the Americas have been approved by local ordinaries, including Our Lady of Good Success in Ecuador (1572), Our Lady of Good Help in Wisconsin (1859), Our Lady of Cuapa in Nicaragua (1980), in Venezuela (1984) and Our Lady of the Rosary of San Nicolas in Argentina (1980s). 2.
